Description
The goal of this project is to support a greater number of job seekers in achieving higher employment rates by improving the operations of the Employment Support Center (ESC) and assistance programs for job seekers from vulnerable populations, implemented by the ESC in partnership with the private sector. This project addresses a key issue faced by the government stemming from economic reforms and the slow pace of job creation in the economy. Some reforms, particularly the restructuring of state-owned enterprises, many of which are expected to be privatized, liquidated, or restructured, will result in the dismissal of an increasing number of vulnerable and low-income individuals.
To mitigate the risk of rising unemployment among youth and displaced persons, as well as the high levels of inactivity among women and social assistance recipients, this project will support government efforts to increase the supply and quality of employment programs and services for vulnerable groups in need of social support
